PowaFix Rust Mate is a ready-to-use, phosphoric acid-based metal cleaner and rust treatment designed to effectively clean and treat galvanized iron and other metal surfaces. It not only removes rust but also converts it, providing prolonged surface protection.

Application Instructions:

1. Surface Preparation: Remove all flaking material or rust using a scraper. Sand the metal surfaces until smooth. 

2. Application: Use a hard bristle nylon brush or broom to scrub the affected area with Rust Mate. For thorough treatment, ensure the surface remains wet for 10–15 minutes. Smaller metal parts can be immersed in Rust Mate for the same duration. 

3. Rinsing: Thoroughly rinse the treated area with clean water. Repeat the process if necessary. 

Safety Precautions:

• Rust Mate is a phosphoric acid-based corrosive product. Do not mix with other chemicals. 

• Open the cap with caution to prevent any splashing.

• Protect or cover coatings and untreated areas to avoid surface damage.

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves and eye protection, during use.

• Store the product upright in a cool place, ensuring the lid is tightly sealed. Keep out of reach of children.
